In Germany, he has worked with institutions, such as KW, at the “Berlin Biennale”, “Reencontres Internationales”, and many years at the “Schinkel Pavillon” producing exhibitions with artists such as Saadane Afif, Jannis Kounellis, Andro Wekua, Isa Genzken, as well as many others, and important landmarking exhibitions such as “Based in Berlin”. He has been active at university projects such as KunstRat with the guidance of Prof. Kleine-Benne and assisting the mexican embassy in Berlin. Next to the institutional work, he has a great amount of experience in the art market, splitting his time by working with international galleries: Capitan Petzel, Veneklassen Werner, GE gallery from Monterrey, and Hilario Galguera.
Meffert/Sanguino is a new project. An analysis orientated cultural advisory for institutions and cultural makers, addressing questions of the future of culture and artists within the upcoming society.
Jorge Sanguino is born in Colombia, based in Berlin and New York advisor, exhibition maker and curator. Cofounder of “Wildpalms”, a platform for young artists that is in its labor phase. He has been for the last 10 years involved in the German cultural landscape, building bridges between Mexico and Europe. Educated as a philosopher, he has a second degree as Art History from the Humboldt University of Berlin. His research ﬁeld is contemporary photography and cultural markets.
